Bike Rallarvegen

A classic bike journey that brings you from Europe´s highest mountain plateau down through the natural and cultural landscape of Flåmsdalen.

Few bicycle trips beat Rallarvegen, also known as the “navvy road”. This classic trip is 80 km long and runs from Haugastøl through Finse and Hallingskeid to Vatnahalsen and Flåm. It´s possible to cycle shorter distances of the Rallarvegen, with some stretches being highly family-friendly. Rallarvegen has been declared the finest bicycle road in Norway. Rental bike from Finse or Haugastøl is included. Rallarvegen is open from the middle of July but it is possible to cycle parts of it earlier.

– Bicycle helmet
– Suitable clothing, depending on the weather
– We recommend a small backpack
 
Train tickets are not included in the package.
 
Rallarvegen is at times very steep, and the road is largely unsecured and demanding for children. If you want to ride all the way, we recommend that the children are 12 years old. That being said we have 7 year olds who are fine, and 16 year olds who don't stand stand a chance. Luggage Trolleys and children is not recommended distance between Finse and Flåm
