The only way to get to Vatnahalsen Hotel in winter is by train. Either with the Flåm Railway up from Flåm station, or with the Bergen Railway to Myrdal station, and the Flåm Railway a stop down to Vatnahalsen Station. It's not possible to walk from Myrdal station to the hotel in winter.
